There’s nothing quite like capturing Cuyahoga Valley engagement photos during golden hour; the kind of shoot that reminds me why I love what I do. We started just before golden hour, when the light is soft and warm, and everything feels calm. The leaves were glowing, and the air had that peaceful stillness that makes you slow down and just take it all in.
I guided the couple through natural, movement-based poses: walking hand in hand, swaying together, and just being themselves. I love when couples forget the camera is even there and simply enjoy the moment. Those are always my favorite shots; the in-between smiles, quiet laughter, and “I love you’s” that tell the real story.

Cuyahoga Valley engagement photos are my favorite. It’s full of variety, one minute you’re in a wide open field with the sun peeking through, and the next you’re by a forest trail or riverside surrounded by tall trees and soft light. No matter the season, it always feels a little different and magical in its own way.

We wrapped up near sunset, with the light dipping behind the trees and everything glowing in that golden haze. It was such a peaceful moment; just the two of them, the sound of the wind in the trees, and the colors of the sky fading into soft colors.

If you’re thinking about where to have your couples or engagement session, I can’t recommend Cuyahoga Valley enough. It’s perfect if you want photos that feel natural, warm, and full of connection; a mix of adventure and calm all in one place. Every session here feels like its own little story, and I’m always so excited to help couples bring that to life.
